well its 2012- a year for celebration and jubilation. Lizzie receives more diamonds and Mo farah some gold- watched the closing ceremony last night, I'm feeling so happy to be britsh right now... fun times!
I can't believe how many medals we got- 63, 30 % more than we got in bejing, we haven't had this many medals since 1908, considering sixteen years ago we only got 1 gold medal- we know have 39 golds!!!
However, I have to say that I was beginning to get a bit olympic-ed out- bring on the paralympics!!

O: !Christmas! ;D
So its Christmas in 2 sleeps and it seems like once again December is going by so slowly when the rest of the year has gone past so fast, mind you the general rule is that when you are waiting for something to happen the time seems to go by slower than normal- if you get what I mean!
Anyway I was just thinking about Mariah Carey's song "All I Want For Christmas Is You", its all very lovely and cheesy but really, this may just be my selfish mind working too hard here,
if you said to your average young child as their parent, "here you go honey you haven't got any presents or the new bike you wanted you've just got me," their bottom lip would be wobbling and soon the tears would be spilling out of their eyes onto their cheeks- I mean I know practically all children want to be with their parents this Christmas but they don't just want that do they? Children also want all the sparkle and gifts and wrapping paper that is included in Christmas not just their parents and family.
So Mariah Carey here's my message to you - "Like the song and everything, its really Christmassy but the lyrics are pointless and don't reflect on the general British public!"
Merry Christmas Everyone...

Amoeba
If I had to be a cell I think I would have to be an amoebaa purely because it has a really cool way of eating- it engulfs the food into its own body through its feet and also it walks with its tummy.

What do you think is the most useful invention?
In my eyes it is the printing press-without it not so many people by far would be able to read, and it also sparked off new inventions and ideas making the technology as advanced as it is today. some people say it's the wheel but it is not as influencial and anyway nobody knows who thought up this idea as it is too caveman so no-one knows who came up with it but it was probably just from common sense.
You probably think that I am a bit geeky writing this but if you don't then pls comment about your choice...

- make bad people see that they should change
- stop all wars
- allow people trying to emmigrating from their countries because they will be tortured etc. to emmigrate

TV- good or not?
What do you think?
So which do you think???
I'm kinda sitting on the fence for this one- on one hand I know TV is bad for you because you use 30% less of your brain when watching TV than when you are doing nothing (don't ask me where I got that fact from) - but how sad is that? It is actually more profitable to do nothing than to watch TV. Not only this but lets face it, TV can be very addictive.
But on the other hand TV can help. For instance when you are feeling down a bit of daytime telly can lift you up or it can be company for the elderly and the young when they are feeling lonely and depressed. it can also help pass the time when waiting for something or someone and is entertainment when stuck somewhere or a family watching time when say the X factor is on.
So which do you think???

Journeys
Have you ever felt like you are enjoying the journey of going somewhere without actually wanting to get to your destinatioin?
Well I have, and particularly when I have no idea where I am going or for instance, when someone is making me wait for a surprise. It's the waiting that is the exiting part for me, I mean sure, I love actually recieving the surprise but there is something in the thrill and wonderment of just thinking about why you could possibly be waiting and what for. It is all very well for someone who is impatient to sneak into the cupboard at night and peak at the parcel but where is the exitement in that? To get all that exitement ruined in a matter of seconds when you could have it stretched out for a couple of months it's just not worth it! You may as well have patience than curiosity if it means better results in the end!

Open mind!
No I don't mean open your mind literaly! Keep an open mind! Be positive! I hate people that are negative as they close away all the good things in their life and bring all the bad things to the surface.
by the way this isn't me.
So I am making a plea to you to keep an open mind in everything you do and you will definetely have a great time in your life.
by the way this isn't me.
Why am I human?
This is a question I often ask myself- it is one of the many questions that you can scientifically answer but you can never see an answer in your brain.
I often wonder what destined me to be human. I mean why aren't I a squirrel or maybe a plant or just a cell- why did I have to be a human being? Not that I don't like being a human, just that I am curious why my group of cells made me who I am without being anything else...

Jeans, crops, leggings or skirt????
What do you think???
Please post a comment as to what ur answer is because it is different people's preference. I think it would be interesting to find this out- but I do need lots of people to participate first to get good results. Please post your answer below.

Focus, Rhythm, & Swimming.
Last night I went swimming and I realised that swimming is an exeedingly thereputic pasttime and a great way to release all stress and think about the world without really thinking.
When I went swimming last night I statred counting my strokes from 9:00 onwards, I was doing breaststroke and I got into such a rhythm that I couldn't stop, Ifelt like I was in a world of my own, as I was momentarily under water for each stroke I couldn't hear any of what was going on in my surroundings just the in-out in-out of my breathing. This was the most calm I had been for ages, I was so calm and focused on my breathing that I did 56 lengths of breaststroke in 25 minutes, it just shows that if you are determined to do something and you have got the right amount of self control, rhythm, and your mind and body connect as one you can really achieve things that you thought would not otherwise be possible. My ears were not the only thing that adapted to this mind set. My eyes dipped in and out of the water and they admired the reflection of my hands on the underside of the water when I was under it then the reflection on the top-side when I was partially out.
For that 25 minutes of my time I was so in peace with the world that I didn't even know it, so relaxed, so intent on swimming the journey without actually having a goal, that I found a place that I rarely visit in my mind, to simply be; If you are reading this I am going to set you a challenge, sit in your own in a quiet place, think about the world and just simply be, should you accept this please write the concequences in my post comments box, Thanks.

Yoga and other calming stuff
Ok this might be a bit weird but I believe that yoga really does calm the body and mind equally. It is also good to stretch and use your body without hurting a muscle, many atheletes do yoga to improve concentration, strength and stretching techniques. This simple stretching technique can really help your posture and body strength, just by doing it twice a day, it is called saluting the sun:
